Our Team

Jeremy Negrin
Jeremy is a senior at Riverdale Country School in New York City, where he has lived his whole life. He is also a graduate of the Allen-Stevenson School, where he is the alumni representative for his class. Jeremy has completed a Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation course at Cornell University and serves as an ambassador for the Junior Economic Club of New York City. He has recently become a high school fellow at the Yale University Entrepreneurship Club. This past summer, he interned at Grannies Respond, a national not-for-profit that helps asylum seekers in the U.S. He also interned at TOG, an NGO in Turkey. This experience inspired him to create a platform for convening Turkish-American high school students in service of Turkish causes. Outside of school, he enjoys playing tennis, playing the cello, and reading books.

ABOUT US

The Turkish-American Youth Initiative was founded, and is led, by youth. We aim to connect young Turkish Americans in the U.S. with one another and to help them develop strong ties to Turkey.

We are currently designing programs to enhance the ties between Turkish-American students in the U.S. and students in Turkey. We are also working to create a variety of volunteer opportunities in the U.S., in Turkey, and virtually.
